Freestyle is one of the most popular and spectacular kiteboarding disciplines. It is not an easy task to become a competitive freestyler and participate in world class competitions, but dedicated riders know that nothing can compare with the feeling you have when you perform amazing tricks and the audience is captivated by your performance. Especially for dedicated freestyle enthusiasts, the RRD team has designed the new Obsession MK IV.



The 2012 Obsession MK IV kite is built on a similar blue print as the younger brother, the Obsession MK III, but it is fine tuned to offer improved performance. The new leading edge implemented by RRD makes the kite more powerful and steadier. At the same time it significantly improves turning speed and stability. The Neutral pull on kite loops technology allows the rider to maintain control of the kite when he performs huge loops and assures that the kite doesn’t lose speed.



The moderate bar pressure provides a direct feel and allows the rider to steer the kite without any effort. The kite is especially optimized for unhooked tricks and it performs outstanding when operated by an advanced, technical rider. The kite deploys extra low end power when needed and it is able to get the rider airborne in matter of seconds. The RRD Obsession MK IV has a progressive depower and it runs very smooth through the wind window. The kite is built to last.



The canopy is constructed from Teijin T9600 and DP 175 LL Dacron. PVC round labels and metallic end reinforcements protect the struts, and the leech and wingtips are made from Dacron. This structure is intended to resist to all punishment, but light at the same time. The RRD Obsession MK IV is available in eight sizes and three color schemes. It comes complete with bar, lines and pump.
