2011 Caliber Kiteboards by Cabrinha Kites The Caliber kiteboard is serious about freestyle and freeriding. If you want to kiteboard fast and hard then the Caliber kiteboard is made just for you. The Caliber kiteboard has a lower rocker line than the Custom which makes this board crisp and lively. The lower(flatter) rocker will help you in lighter winds to be able to go upwind easier. The Caliber kiteboard accelerates quickly out of the gates and keeps its speed through the lulls. The Caliber's outline and flex pattern give the kiteboard mad pop whether you are riding unhooked or hooked in. Sporting a quad concave bottom, the Caliber kiteboard holds steady in high winds or choppy water. I personally found the Caliber kiteboard to be very smooth and was better in high gusty winds. In higher gusty winds, it was very smooth and never skipped out on my even in the gnarliest of gusts. In light winds, the board was more difficult to go upwind than the Crazy Fly Raptor kiteboard of the same size. Although the Caliber has less rocker than the Custom kiteboard, it has more rocker than the Crazy Fly Raptor kiteboard. Overall, this is a great mid to high wind kiteboard. For lighter winds, I suggest the Raptor Pro kiteboard or the Raptor Pro ltd kiteboard.
